With numerous restaurants and shops, such as Dunes Restaurant and Mariners Wharf at the Harbour just a short beach walk away, there is lots to see and do. Beach Club No. 1 is right on the beachfront and has a direct access point to the beach. We have everything you need to make your holiday comfortable and relaxing.

Inside, the open plan living area is light, spacious and filled with luxurious furnishings and colourful artwork. The kitchen has all the essentials, including a coffee machine and dishwasher.
The dining area seats 6 guests comfortably, and opens up onto an outside courtyard that has a barbecue, patio furniture and a hot tub for those starry summer nights.
The Master Bedroom is upstairs and has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom, which has a large bath, separate shower and double vanity. Enjoy stunning views of the mountains whilst relaxing on your bed, reading a book. The other two bedrooms are downstairs and both of them have a double bed and are en-suite with a shower and single vanity. There are flat screen TVs in all the bedrooms with DSTV.
The living room is upstairs which allows you to relax on luxurious couches whilst looking out at unblemished views over the beach and the bay. There is a bar which is perfect for keeping your beer cold while you sit on the balcony and have sundowners. There is fast, uncapped WiFi throughout which allows you to stream your favourite shows on the large Smart TV.
The roof deck is ideal for sunbathing, providing privacy and spectacular 360 degree views. There is a double garage for 2 cars, a further workspace and a wine cellar in the basement.
As you walk into the double-volume entrance, you will feel yourself start to relax as the soft summer breeze and the scent of the ocean confirms that your holiday has begun. The house is in a secure estate and is set away from the hustle and bustle of the street.
Rentals of eBikes and a Vespa are also available.

Hout Bay, or the Republic of Hout Bay as it is affectionately known by locals, is a fantastic sea-side neighbourhood in Cape Town that offers something for everyone, any day of the week.

You will find yourself staring out to sea when you arrive in Hout Bay. The views in this sociable village are mesmerizing as Hout Bay is set in a fold of sea-lapped mountains that look out across the Atlantic Ocean. The town is presided over by the Sentinel – guardian of Hout Bay’s treasures. A horse-lovers paradise, there are many farms and stables and a sunset ride on the beach should definitely be on your holiday bucket list.

Constantia Nek connects Hout Bay with the popular wine route in Constantia and also offers a plethora of restaurants, shops and a food market that is a must see. Our favourite wine farm is Buitenverwachting, where you can absorb the serene atmosphere of the vineyards while eating gourmet food and sipping on world class wine. Please book well in advance for your picnic as it is very popular!

The protective mountains surround Hout Bay and the long sandy beach which is ideal for swimming and water sports like sea kayaking, sailing, fishing and surfing. You will see locals walking their dogs, riding horses and families playing at the water’s edge. The mountains provide excellent hiking opportunities.

The main street in Hout Bay is full of interesting shops and there is an excellent craft market on the green every Sunday. People sit chatting in local cafes as they sample the cuisine in the many restaurants and there is a meandering feel to Hout Bay. There is also a vibrant township called Imizamo Yethu and guided tours are available for here as well as for Hangberg – the township on the other side of the valley.

The lively Hout Bay fishing harbour is a working harbour for the tuna and crayfishing industries but also hosts many tourism activities including boat trips, diving & fishing.

Chapmans Peak Drive connects Hout Bay with the South Peninsula and is considered to be one of the most scenic drives in the world, and stopping off at the iconic Chapmans Peak will show you one of the most spectacular views. This drive is also a great place to stop and watch the whales in whale season.

Looking out over the bay at night, the Kommetjie Lighthouse can be seen.

Hout Bay was named by the Dutch explorers who “found” the wooded valley and the name literally means “wood bay”. The timber was used to help build Cape Town.
